Final New Brunswick-PEI standings (5): UNB-Saint John (6-2); St. Thomas (5-2); Moncton (4-4); UNB Jayvees (2-5); N.B.I.T. (1-6)

       In the semis, the 4th-seeded UNB Jayvees stuned the top-seeded UNB Saint John Seawolves 66-48. The Seawolves included Doug Scott, Bob Mabey.

       In the other semi, the 2nd-seeded St. Thomas Tommies edged the 3rd-seeded Moncton Blue Eagles 57-55. The Blue Eagles were coached by Don Grant.

       In the final, the St. Thomas Tommies defeated the UNB Jayvees as Art Ross scored 36, Rick Harten 26, Dan Atkins 21, Brannan 10, White 9, Lloyd 8 and Reid 6. Brian Troy led the Jayvees with 18. Scott Fowler added 14, French 10, Ruiter 8, Kimball 6, King 6 and Munro 4.

       The all-tournament team featured co-MVP Art Ross (St. Thomas); co-MVP Rick Harten (St. Thomas); Scott Fowler (UNB Jayvees); Brian Troy (UNB Jayvees); and Ear Arseneau (Moncton).

       In game one of the Nova Scotia College Conference East division semis, the St. FX Sydney Campus defeated the Eastern Tech Tigers 70-55. Phil Harns led Sydney Campus (coached by Jack Porter) with 24. John Kalombo added 16. Kevin Connelly led Eastern Tech with 16. Brian MacDonald added 16.
