In the semis, the 2nd-seeded St. Thomas Tommies defeated the two-time defending champ and 3rd-seeded UNB-Saint John Red Barons 81-79 in overtime as Cholody scored 24, Buchanan 15, Atkins 12, Witlib 10, Roger Price 10, Ross 4, Sullivan 3, Boyle 2 and Reed 1. Buchanan forced overtime with a last second bucket. Bob Mabey led UNB-Saint John with 24. Jamie Olive added 17, Gillespie 16, Wayne Cameron 10, Britten 6 and Moore 6, while Wilson and Roberts were scoreless.

In the other semi, the top-seeded Moncton Blue Eagles whipped the 4th-seeded UNB Jayvees 83-64 as Ron Daigle scored 27, Laurent Larocque 18, LeBlacn 7, Bourque 12, Goguen 7 and G Doucet 2. Branscombe led the Jayvees with 13. Munroe added 12, Potten 11, Ron Arbeau 11, Palmer 6, Drake 6 and Chuck Matthews 5.

In the final, the St. Thomas Tommies defeated Moncton 72-63 as Cholody scored 16, including six in overtime. Buchanan knotted the score at 59 after regulation by hitting a free throw with 33 seconds to play.
