In the bronze medal match, the SAIT Trojans dumped the Grant MacEwan Griffins 74-69. The Cougars held off a late 17-2 MacEwan run to pull out the win as Sarah Bohne drilled four free throws in the final two seconds. “We’re very proud of the team and very happy with the result,” said Trojans coach Laura Fehr. “This team has shown character all year.” The Griffins included J Wolsey, Michelle MacKinnon, Kirsten Hutchinson, Danielle Peers, T Carter, Lisa Kolkman, Jody Olson, Sherri-Dawn Acker, T Johnson, S Betker, L Ramsay and Sue Tames.
