In the semis, the Red Deer JV Queens clocked the SAIT Trojanettes 63-36 as Lynne Jones scored 23, Judy Saxby 13, Barb Forrest 8, Bernadette Aubert 4, Holly Megson 4, Theresa Webber 4, Mary Turner 3, Barb Brousseau 2 and Mary Starchuk 2. Meike Vandervalk led the Trojanettes with 20.

In the other semi, the Mount Royal Cougars clipped the NAIT Ookpikettes 53-41 as Fran McColl scored 18 and Shirley Anderson 15.

In the bronze medal match, the NAIT Ookpikettes spanked the SAIT Trojanettes 51-37 as Helen Hoffsteter scored 12 and Marilyn Strain 10. Emily Radmanovich led the Trojanettes with 22. The Trojanettes also included Shirley Allen, Marjory Fiedler, Connie Gamracy, Sylvia McMillan, Linda Robertson, Mieke Vander Valk.

In the final, the Red Deer JC Queens defeated the Mount Royal Cougars 42-35 as Holly Megson scored 19, Lynne Jones 10, Barb Forrester 8 and Gay Christian 5. Megson scored 11 of her points in the final quarter. Jones scored 7 in the third quarter as part of a Red Deer rally. With the score knotted at 31, Megson hit a pair of field goals. Mount Royal rallied to within 38-35 but Megson promptly hit two more field goals. Red Deer hit 6-21 from the line and 18-50 from the floor, while Mount Royal hit 5-18 from the line and 15-63 from the floor. The Cougars led 18-13 at the half. Shirley Anderson paced the Cougars with 11. Fran McColl added 9 and Pat Horiachka 8.
