        In the quarterfinals, held in Lethbridge, the SAIT Trojans (1st, South division) nipped the Keyano Huskies (4th, North division) 82-81. The Trojans led 13-9 after one quarter and ripped off a 10-0 run in the second to take a 38-24 lead into the lockers, capped by a buzzer-beating Charlie Conner trey. They extended their lead to as many as 22 in the third quarter before back-to-back treys by Dante Dinter triggered an 11-2 run that drew Keyano within 58-46 after three quarters. An 11-0 run drew Keyano within one and then a trey by Dinter, along with a pair of free throws by D’Aubre Doucette knotted the score at 76 after regulation. In the low-scoring extra-period, a trey by Trojan Nicholas Molina proved the difference. Murphy Beya was chosen player of the game for the Trojans, while Stefan Jovcic earned the laurels for the Huskies. The Rustlers broke to a 9-2 lead but the Rattlers rallied in the second quarter, taking their first lead on a 7-0 run capped by a Josh Magpantay trey. But the Rustlers closed out the first half with a 10-2 run and then expanded their lead to 11 on an Adrian Richards trey. Rattler and Sacramento, California-product Aaron Cameron nailed two treys and added a layup as the Rustlers rallied within one on a 12-0 run. Brandon Issac answered with a trey to give the Rustler the lead after three quarters. The Thunder led 43-35 at the half and 68-54 after three quarters. Pierce Van Gaalen notched back-to-back treys as the Kodiaks took an early lead. But the Thunder exploded for eight unanswered points, including a pair of treys by Darrell Bacon as they took a lead at the half. Bunbury, Australia-product Corey Richardson capped an 8-0 Kodiaks rally to draw Lethbridge within two but the Thunder countered with a 17-4 run to take command.         In the last quarterfinal, the NAIT Ooks (2nd, North division) defeated the Red Deer Kings (3rd, South division) 106-99 after leading 17-16, 50-40 and 75-70 at the quarters. A 9-2 run, including 7 points from Nassau, Bahamas-product Jackson Jacob and a trio from beyond the arc by Brady MacKay, gave the Ooks a measure of separation in the second quarter. They extended the margin to 18 in the third but a 17-4 run keyed by Spencer Klassen and Omon Edobar rallied the Kings within five heading into the final frame. But the Ooks sealed the win with a decisive 13-2 run. Jackson Jacob was chosen player of the game for Ooks, while Eric Bakker earned the laurels for the Kings. Red Deer coach Clayton Pottinger said “we started slow and were down 10 points at the half, and then we closed within 5 points after three quarters. In the fourth quarter, we had to take more chances and open it up. The Trojans took a 10-point lead in the first quarter on treys by Camille Kamba and Dylan Cline. But Brady MacKay hit a bomb at the buzzer to trim SAIT’s lead to five. The Trojans built their lead to as many as 9 in the third quarter but the Ooks clawed back, taking a 68-64 lead with three minutes to play on a Jackson Jacob trey. Murphy Beya, though, forced overtime with a trey with seven seconds on the clock. Lacey, Washington-product Charlie Connor notched a layup and the Trojans hit their free throws to pull out the win in overtime. The Rustlers quickly took the lead on treys by Terrell Murdaugh and Brandon Isaac but the Thunder stormed back to take a brief lead in the second quarter on a trey by Mike Malin. Isaac answered with another trey to give the Rustlers the lead heading into the lockers. An 11-2 run early in the third quarter, followed by an 8-0 run late in the frame, appeared to have the Rustlers in total control. But the Thunder countered with an 11-4 run to close the gap and a deep trey by Ronald Bacon Jr trimmed the margin to four with 2 minutes to play. Isaac countered with another trey to ice the win. Terrell Murdaugh was chosen player of the game for the Rustlers, while Brett Jakubec earned the laurels for the Thunder.         In the final, the SAIT Trojans defeated the Lakeland Rustlers 88-77 to capture their second consecutive title. The Trojans led 26-24 after one quarter. The Rustlers led 45-38 at the half. The Trojans led 63-57 after three quarters. Gemie Muya-Ntalaja scored 10 as the Trojans built a two-lead after a quarter. But Prentice Gardner scored 7 unanswered as the Rustlers took the lead into the lockers. Akeem Phillip added a trey to give Lakeland a 10-point lead but the Trojans promptly ripped off a 16-0 run to take control, Although Terrell Murdaugh hit a trey to rally the Rustlers within two early in the fourth quarter, Charlie Connor answered with 5 points as the Trojans took command. Tournament MVP Murphy Beya iced it with a trey with a minute to play. Charlie Conner was chosen player of the game for the Trojans, while Prentice Gardner earned the laurels for the Rustlers.
