I fell short with my college in Spokane. … We placed third so this was big. A championship is a championship and I will take it.” Kodiaks coach Ryan Heggie said the “first thing I said to (Danhue Lawrence) my assistant coach was “It was a lot of hard work. Our transition gave us a good start and we did a good job on their posts. The players followed the scouting report and they played with passion. … They really wanted it. We preach team basketball.” The Kodiaks led 24-10, 42-28 and 60-45 at the quarters.
