        In the semis, the 2nd-seeded University of Calgary Colts dispatched the 3rd-seeded NAIT (then Edmonton Tech) Ooks 64-41 as Gord Whitley scored 18, Ross Collett 12, John Hasselfield 9, Garrison 8, McKinnon 8, Shaw 4, Morris 2 and Millham 2, while Rimmer and Gibson were scoreless. The Colts led 33-19 at the half. Len Sterling paced the Ooks with 9. Cliff Holowiski added 7, Gossman 7, Bryks 6, Tymchuk 4, Van De Wedt 4, DeClerk 4 and Saganski 1, while Drinnan was scoreless.

        In the other semi, the top-seeded Lethbridge Junior College Kodiaks defeated 4th-seeded Red Deer Kings 78-49 as Bruce Hirsche scored 15, Myron Eaves 13, Vern Sommerfeldt 13, Gary Young 11, Brian Leavitt 8, Jerry Nykiew 8, Wes Balderson 7, Herget 2, Low 1 and Burbank 1 and Bolokowski 1, while Belle was scoreless. Harvey Halliday led the Kings with 11. Larry Bondy added 10, Rick Krenn 10, Allan McKee 6, Rudi Grab 4, Rick Mooney 3, Bob Vandermeer 2 and Ray De Palme 2, while Don Nikiforuk and Ralph Salomons were scoreless.

        In the bronze medal match, the 3rd-seeded Edmonton Tech clipped the 4th-seeded Red Deer Kings 77-61 as Doug Bryks scored 19, Cliff Holowiski 16, Len Stirling 10 and Allan Grossman 8. Bob Vandenneer led the Kings with 16. Rudi Grab added 10, Harry Moffet 7, Allan McKee 6, Don Nikiforuk 5, Larry Bondy 5, Rick Krenn 4, Rick Mooney 4, Harvey Halladay 2 and Ray De Palme 2. The Kings also included Ralph Salomns, Robin Steffanick.

        In the final, the top-seeded Lethbridge Kodiaks clipped the 2nd-seeded University of Calgary Colts 65-59. The Kodiaks rallied from a 10-point deficit with five minutes to play, when starter Gary Young hobbled off the floor with an ankle injury. They upped the tempo and took the lead on a Myron Eaves dribble drive for a layup. The Colts led 31-28 at the half. Bruce Hirsche paced the Kodiaks with 17. Marvin Boloski added 11, Wes Balderson 10, Gary Young 9, Myron Eaves 6, Jerry Nykiew 6 and Burbank 2, while Low, Belle, Herget, Leavitt and Vern Sommerfeldt were scoreless.
