Founded in May/70 by charter members Briercrest Bible College (Caronport), Luther College, Canadian Bible College and the Saskatchewan Technical Institute – Moose Jaw. Through the years, the conference was largely comprised of church colleges granting divinity degrees.

        In the initial years of competition, there were six teams competing: The U. of Regina Junior Varsity Cubs; the University of Saskatchewan Junior Varsity Huskies; the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Arts & Sciences (formerly the Kelsey Institute in Saskatoon) Beavers; Briercrest Bible College (Caronport) Clippers; the S.I.A.S.T.-Palliser (formerly the Saskatchewan Technical Institute in Moose Jaw) Panthers; and the Canadian Bible College (Regina); SIAST-Regina

        Other members have included the Saskatchewan Indian Federated College (Regina) Pumas; the Athol Murray College (also known as Notre Dame) Hounds; Luther College (Regina); the Downtowners basketball club; Prairie Bible; Millar College of the Bible; Caronport High School; Bethany Bible; St. Thomas; Wascana Institute

        The league was formally disbanded after the 1995-96 campaign but continued to periodically play an informal regular season schedule and playoffs.

1961

        In the Regina JC Basketball League finals, the Regina College Cubs defeated the Campion Bears x-x; 53-42; 59-49 (2g-1).

        In game two, the Cubs prevailed 53-42 as Lorne Dillabaugh scored 19 and Dave Gass 16. Jack Somerville led the Campion Bears with 11.

        In game three, the Regina College Cubs took the series with a 59-49 win as Lorne Dillabaugh scored 17 and Verne Jimonsen 15. Joe Nessman led Campion with 17. Mark Kubinski added 10.

1962

        In the semis, the Luther Vultures defeated the Campion Bears 61-43; 46-40 (awarded to Campion); 68-37 (2g-1). …………………………………………………… In game two, the Vultures edged the Bears 46-40 as Murray Sihvon scored 13 and John Persson 12. Bill Barrie led the Bears with 18. Art McAvoy added 13. The game was subsequently awarded to the Bears on the grounds that the Vultures had used an ineligible player. …………………………………………………… In game three, the Luther Vultures prevailed 61-43 as Murray Sihvon scored 22, Trev Johnson 17 and John Persson 12. Bill Barrie led the Bears with 10. Art McAvoy added 10 and Gary Dionne 8.

In the other semi, the Canadian Bible Crusaders defeated the Caronport Cougars 59-33; x-x (2g-0). …………………………………………………… In game one, Canadian Bible pounded Caronport 59-33 as Abe Sandler scored 25, Don Scott 9 and John Lightbody 8.

In the finals, the Luther Vultures defeated the Canadian Bible Crusaders 100-74; 63-67; 69-67 (2g-1).

In game two, the Canadian Bible Crusaders edged the Luther Vultures 67-63 in overtime as John Lightbody scored 38 and Don Sylvester 14. Ashley Boesch led the Vultures with 21. Murray Sihvon added 14 and Trev Johnson 13.

In game three, the Luther Vultures edged Canadian Bible 69-67 as Trev Johnson scored 24, Dick Ruschiensky 19 and Murray Sihvon 13. John Lightbody led the Crusaders with 21. Abe Sandler added 19 and Don Sylvester 16. The Crusaders led 38-36 at the half.

        In the final, the Canadian Bible Crusaders defeated the University of Regina Varsity Cubs 54-60; 63-55; 48-32 (2g-1).

In game one, the Varsity Cubs edged Canadian Bible 60-54 as Bruce (Bill?) Burnyoet scored 13, Bill Stevenson 12 and Don Pedde 10. Stewart Lightbody led the Crusaders with 20. Abe Sandler added 11 and Don Sylvester 10.

In game two, Canadian Bible evened the series with a 63-55 win as Stewart Lightbody scored 31, Abe Sandler 10 and Eric Persson 8. Garth Bradley (Brady?) led the Cubs with 20. Bill Burnyoet added 9 and Graham Leask 8.

In game three, Canadian Bible took the crown with a 48-32 win as Stewart Lightbody scored 16, John Persson 11 and Eric Persson 9. Garth Brady led Regina JVs with 15. Bill Stevenson added 6, Ken McNabb 3 and Graham Leask 3.
