        In the semis, held in Ottawa, the St. Clair Saints defeated the St. Lawrence-Kingston Vikings 76-66 as Dan Thoms scored 23, Mick Tomicic 14, Tino Baggio 13, Bill Graham 12, Doug Robertson 9 and Ron Shanbom 5. The Saints led 38-28 when Tino Baggio injured his leg. The Vikings trimmed the margin to 51-50 when Baggio returned and hit two buckets, then stole the ball for a layup to give them a 65-57 edge. Saints coach Al Hoffman told the Windsor Star that “when I put Tino back in, that was the turning point. And he was hurting bad. He’s from a muscle tear.” The Saints hit 31-68 (.460) from the floor. Jim Henshilwood led the Vikings with 19. Ted Batchelor, a 35-year-old veteran of Ontario senior A play, added 18, Peter Acton 12, Dave Wilson 12, Graham Wright 2, Ainsley 2 and Dave Dauphinais 2, while Lukassen was scoreless. The Vikings also included Neal Neasmith, Jim Henshilwood, Gill.

        In the other semi, the Mohawk Mountaineers defeated the Fanshawe Falcons 91-70 as Doug Angle scored 20, Ralph Gruppe 18 and Darryl Bowman 17. Glen Johnson paced Fanshawe with 32.

        In the bronze medal match, the Fanshawe Falcons defeated the St. Lawrence-Kingston Vikings 69-59 in double-overtime as 29-year-old tournament MVP Glen Johnson scored 29, Bud Leonard 19, Ian Moncrief 16, Ken Ward 14, Phil Ruhl 11 and Huffman 4. Acton led the Vikings with 17. Tom Batchelor added 14, John Henshilwood 12, Wright 10, Wilson 4 and Lukarse 2, while Dauphinais was scoreless

        In the final, the Mohawk Mountaineers defeated the St. Clair Saints 80-56 as Darryl Bowman scored 22, Larry Snaidero 14, Ralph Gruppe 13, Doug Angle 13, Henry Romanowski 13 and Schwimm 5. Mohawk shot 31-56 from the floor (.550) and were ahead 33-29 at the half. Mick Tomicic scored 16 to lead the Saints. Bill Graham added 14, Dan Thoms 8, Tino Baggio 6, Doug Robertson 4, Ron Shabom 4 and Dave Mandling 4. St. Clair shot 18-81 (.220) from the floor. Saints coach Al Hoffman told the Windsor Star that “the figures speak for themselves,” as did Baggio’s injury problems. The Mountaineers finished (17-5) overall, including a (14-0) record against OCAA competition.
