In the semis, the SAIT Trojans defeated the Lethbridge Kodiaks 108-71; 79-70 (2g-0). …………………………………………………… In game one, the Trojans smacked the Kodiaks 108-71 as Ted Leslie scored 35 and Trevor Hamilton 32. The backcourt tandem hit 21-30 from the floor and 8-14 from the arc. Cam Slomp paced the Kodiaks with 18. Eric Anderson added 14 and Keith Pushor 12. “I was pulling my hair out. I didn’t know what else I could do,” said Kodiaks coach Dave Adams. “We shot 59 per cent from the field and went to the line more than they did. We were down only 51-41 at the half, but they scored on their first nine possessions in a row in the second half.” …………………………………………………… In game two, the Trojans completed the sweep with a 79-70 win. With seven minutes remaining, SAIT led 59-57, but Kodiaks ran into foul trouble when Chad Titsing, Cam Slomp and Rob Zimmerman all fouled out. “I just thought we played a super game,” said Kodiaks coach Dave Adams. “If we had to end the season with a loss, at least we ended on a positive note. We pushed SAIT right to the very limits. The guys poured their guts out. They can walk around with their heads held high.” Rob Zimmerman, Eric Anderson and Cameron Slomp had 15 points apiece for the Kodiaks while Keith Pushor added 14. Kodiak guard Dave Turner said “you can be right in their shorts but they still score.” The Kodiaks also included Terry Whitehead, Jason Valgardson, Lawrence Watkin, Tom Tilleman, Keith Limber, Bryan MacKenzie, Pat Adams, David Turner, Kevin Quinton and Marty Dusoseya.

In the finals, the SAIT Trojans defeated the NAIT Ookpiks 77-64; 85-69 (2g-0).
In game one, the SAIT Trojans clipped the NAIT Ookpiks 77-64 as Ted Leslie scored 30, Trevor Hamilton 15 and Kevin Cornils 15. The Trojans led 34-28 at the half. Frank Mrkonjic led the Ookpiks with 21. Brian Lazaruik added 18.
In game two, SAIT completed the series sweep by dumping NAIT 85-69 after leading 45-38 at the half. Trevor Hamilton led the Trojans with 24. Ted Leslie added 15 and Kevin Cornils 12. Kirk Jones paced the Ookpiks with 20. Scott Holmes added 17, Travis Heighington 11 and Mike Kelly 9. The Ookpiks finished 24-14 overall on the campaign.
After the season, Dave Adams resigns as coach of the Lethbridge Kodiaks, noting that the school had the worst facilities in the league. “My lowest counterpart earns double my salary. My wages are less than 20 cents per hour.” He also noted that the position wasn’t full-time, as was the case in seven other ACAC schools. Moreover, he wasn’t even interviewed for a full-time phys ed position that had come up at the school, despite four successful years coaching the basketball team.
