The player of the year award went to Waterloo University’s Mike Moser, while the award was posthumously renamed after him. Moser, who’d briefly played for Brown University, had been selected All-Canadian the previous two years and was a two-time OUA West all-star and winner of the Lebel trophy as conference MVP a year earlier.
