In the semis, Dalhousie clipped the PEI Panthers 60-44.

In the other semi, the New Brunswick Red Bloomers dispatched the St. Francis Xavier X-Women 88-52.

In the final, the New Brunswick Red Bloomers dumped the Dalhousie Tigers 72-62 as Jennifer George and Susan McMaster each scored 19. Game MVP Marg Jones added 14, including 10 critical points in the second half. Alice Cerny led the Tigers with 22. Peggy MacLean added 16. Jones told The Brunswickan “I think we were hurrying our offence a little too much. I know for myself, I wasn’t patient enough and shots just weren’t falling for us like they usually do and they did have an exceptional game. So I think that both factors accounted for the close score. We realize that everyone comes gunning for us and are ready to play us, so therefore we have to go in knowing they are going to give us a good game every time, and take away their momentum early.”

After the season, Coleen Dufresne leaves New Brunswick and is replaced by Claire Mitton.
