The title would have gone to Acadia with a superior point spread. But the teams agree to play a playoff game, which Mount Allison wins 22-21. Acadia reports that it essentially gave away a title it had already owned.

The win gave Acadia the title on a two-game total-point series but the teams voted to make it a best-of-three series. …………………………………………………… In game three, Mount Allison took the title with a 22-21 win as Bartlett scored 12 and Mcintosh 10. Baker led the Axewomen with 9. Phinney added 8 and Brown 4.
