In UNB-PEI play, New Brunswick captured the regular season title. There were no postseason playoffs. The Varsity Reds also competed in the Northeastern Conference in the United States, which included Ricker Collegiate Institute, Madawaska Training School, Aroostook State Teachers College and Husson College. Brandy Brannen was selected MVP of the Maine-based conference.

In game one, the X-Men prevailed 64-40 as Richards scored 16, Korbut 14, McFarland 10, Shea 10, Sullivan 8 and McDonald 6. Patterson led New Brunswick with 11. T Gorman added 10, J Gorman 9, Brannen 4, Milligan 4 and McLeod 2.
In game two, St. FX took the crown with a 77-71 win as Korbut scored 32, Richards 16, MacFarland 8, Shea 8, MacDonald 5, Pezzarello 4 and Sullivan 4. Brannen paced the Varsity Reds with 25.
