The Axemen took a 4-0 lead as Bruce Corey hit a pair of buckets. Acadia led 7-3 at the half and opened the second half with a 6-0 run. Alf Cunningham stemmed the bleeding by hitting a bucket for the Tigers but the Axemen were never threatened. Eddie Rogers scored 4 for Acadia. Alex Farquhar led the Tigers with 4. Alf Cunningham added 3 and Blair Dunlop 2, while Ralph Cooley, Carl Giffin, Art Robinson, Bill Pope and Gordie Algie were scoreless. …………………………………………………… In game two, host Dalhousie prevailed 36-32 but lost the total-point series 51-45. The Tigers led 20-11 at the half. Alex Farquhar paced the Tigers with 14. St. FX thought the series was tied at 64 and that Acadia had been awarded an extra point. From St. FX’s perspective, the series was tossed. St. FX refused to take the court for an overtime session and Acadia was awarded the Nova Scotia title.
