In the semis, the U.Q.A.M. Citadins dusted the Bishop’s Gaiters 60-44. The Gaiters shot their lowest percentage of the year during the upset. Bishop’s took an early 5-2 lead but missed their next six before Amanda Piribauer broke the drought to rally the Gaiters to a 12-12 tie. A three-point play by Mélanie Ouellet-Godcharles put the Gaiters ahead 19-16 early in the second quarter but they then went on a five-minute scoring drought. A layup by Ouellet-Godcharles with 2:13 to go ended the skid, but the Citadins had taken command. Michelle Auger-Bellemare scored six straight points to end the half to give UQAM a 30-21 lead. In the third, a Jessy Roy three-point play was followed up by five points from Piribauer as the Gaiters went on an 8-0 run to pull within three points at 32-29. But UQAM’s Karine Boudrias responded with a three-pointer and the Citadins put the game out of reach with a 13-4 run. Irline Noel paced UQAM with 16 on 7-14 from the floor, 2-4 from the line and 7 boards. Michelle Auger-Bellemare added 12 on 4-9 from the floor, 4-4 from the line and 2 steals.         In the other semi, the Laval Rouge et Or clipped the Concordia Stingers 74-65 after leading 25-13, 38-25 and 58-45 at the quarters. Marie-Michelle Genois paced Laval with 20 on 10-19 from the floor, 13 boards and 2 assists. Elyse Jobin added 19 on 6-14 from the floor, 3-7 from the arc, 4-5 from the line, 4 boards and 3 assists. Karine Bibeau notched 12 on 4-9 from the floor, 4-6 from the line, 7 boards and 4 assists. Julie Chapados added 7 on 2-4 from the floor, 1-1 from the arc and 2-2 from the line. Chanelle St-Amour added 14 on 6-14 from the floor, 1-6 from the arc, 1-1 from the line, 4 boards and 4 assists.
