        In the semi-finals, the 2nd-seeded Concordia Stingers clipped the 3rd-seeded Laval Rouge et Or 72-63 after leading 19-9, 38-30 and 54-52 at the quarters. The Stingers took command with a late 11-0 run. Olivier Simon paced the Stingers with 17 on 7-10 from the floor, 0-1 from the arc, 3-3 from the line, 3 boards and 2 assists. Ricardo Monge added 14 on 5-11 from the floor, 3-6 from the arc, 1-2 from the line, 7 boards and 3 assists.         In the other semi, the top-seeded McGill Redmen dusted the 4th-seeded Bishop’s Gaiters 105-67 after leading 28-19, 46-38 and 81-54 at the quarters. The Redmen led by as many as 38. “Bishop’s played really well in the first half, had a good game-plan against our pressure and kept it close with an eight-point difference at halftime,” said McGill coach David DeAveiro. “Then we made an adjustment. Defensively we took our pressure off and then just settled into our man-to-man half-court defence and that seemed to get us going … and we kind of imposed our will on them.” DeAveiro added the Jenning Leung “was overdue (for a breakout night). He’s had some really good looks in terms of shooting the ball but hasn’t been able to knock those down of late,” said DeAveiro. “He’s too good a shooter and works way too hard to not be rewarded.” Gaiters coach Rod Gilpin said “we missed a lot of free throws, turned the ball over a couple times and they made some shots. They have a senior-laid team and they’ve been there before.  I thought our guys played hard but they were just better than us.” Jenning Leung paced the Redmen with 29 on 10-19 from the floor, 7-13 from the arc, 2-2 from the line, 4 boards, 2 assists and 2 steals. Alex Paquin added 14 on 6-13 from the floor, 1-2 from the arc, 1-1 from the line and 7 assists. Francois Bourque scored 11 on 4-7 from the floor, 3-4 from the line and 6 boards.         In the final, the top-seeded McGill Redmen clocked the 2nd-seeded Concordia Stingers 98-79. The score was knotted at 21 after one quarter. The Redmen led 44-33 at the half and 73-50 after three quarters. “When people expect you to win, those are the hardest wins to come by, because the pressure is clearly solely on us to do well,” said McGill coach David DeAveiro. “So, the credit goes to the players. To play under that kind of pressure and those kinds of expectations and to deliver the way they did is a great credit to them. We struggled early, we didn’t get into a flow. Then Avery [Cadogan] came in and made some big shots for us. That got us going a little bit. We built some confidence and then in the second half we just got back to what we’ve been doing all year: moving the ball and getting good shots. … Our bench has played extremely well throughout the whole year and we wouldn’t be here without our bench. I’ve said it before: I think any of these guys could play at any other school, perhaps even start at other schools.” Avery Cadougan paced the Redmen with 19 on 7-11 from the floor, 5-7 from the arc, 5 boards and 2 steals. Dele Ogundokun added 16 on 7-10 from the floor, 2-3 from the arc, 7 boards and 4 assists.
