Early in the campaign, the CIS places Concordia on probation for one year for violating player-eligibility rules by offering players campus jobs to play on the team over the previous three seasons. Concordia can play in the league but “will not be considered for top 10 ranking, a wild-card playoff berth, eligible to host national or regional champions, nor participate in any television packages, exclusive of the championship game.”
