In the semis, U.Q.T.R. dumped McGill 74-57. McGill led 20-13 early as both teams played a zone. But the Patriotes shifted into man-to-man and held the Redmen scoreless for six minutes. UQTR led 39-31 at the half. They extended their lead to double digits early in the second half and McGill drew no closer than 46-42. Benoit Plante paced the Patriots with 22. Francois Dion added 12. Rick Rusk led McGill with 22.
In the other semi, Concordia throttled Bishop’s 75-55 as John Gissendaner scored 20.
In the final, Concordia whipped U.Q.T.R. 85-68 after leading 39-38 at the half. John Gissandanner led the Stingers with 33. Benoit Plante paced the Patriotes with 16. Francois Dion added 15.
