In the semis, held in Montreal, Toronto defeated Queen’s 42-26 as Jane Duff scored 10, Sally Wallace 8, and Shirley Roberts 8. Queen’s was led by Dorothy Enright 13 and Norma Higgs 7.

In the other semi, McGill nipped Western 26-24 as Gana Kunce scored 10, Jenny Malika 8 and Roxanne Moore 8. Western was paced by Ardeth Crich 8, Molly McMillan 6 and Pat Demaray 4.

       In the bronze medal match, Western defeated Queen’s 27-20 despite trailing 12-10 at the half. Pat Demaray led the Mustangs with 10. Norma Higgs led the Gaels with 10. The Gaels (coached by Elaine Fildes) also included Connie Robertson, Dorothy Enright, Jane Nelson, Pat Crompton, Mary Gibson, Bobbie Hall, Jane Nelson, Helen Willis, Mary Lyons, Judy Cartwright and Janet Nelson.

In the final, Toronto thrashed McGill 44-30. The Blues were up 11-6 at the quarter. The game was tied at 18 at the half. Toronto was led by Sally Wallace’s 14 points. Jane Duff added 12, Shirley Roberts 8, Patricia Swayze 7, Mary Winship 5 and Carolyn Dobson 2. Gana Kunce and Dorothy May each scored 8 to pace the Martlets. Turnbull added 5, Moore 5, Elingson 2 and Walika 2.
