In the semis, held in Montreal, the host McGill Martlets defeated Toronto 30-27 in overtime.
In the other semi, Western defeated Queen’s 31-9.
In the bronze medal match, Toronto edged Queen’s 18-14. The Gaels (coached by Miss Ross) included Marg Davis, Barb Ullett, Mary Minnes, Whyte, Eastough, McLellan, Nancy Lewis, Mary Walker, Mitchell, Jean Graham, Eva Plunkett, Ruth Gordon, Janet Greenless and Joan McBride.
In the final, McGill defeated Western 43-26. League regulations allowed teams to only have three physical education students on the roster, so McGill had to axe Dorothy Helleur, Ann Flemming and Freda Wales from its squad.
