In the semis, held in Montreal, host McGill thumped Toronto 39-27 as Winnifred Chisholm scored 22. The Martlets led 18-12 at the half.

        In the other semi, Queen’s defeated Western 15-12. Gael Kay Wayling did an exceptional job shutting down Mustang star Mary Wong. Ruth Fishleigh led the Gaels with 7. Doreen Kenny added 5.

        In the bronze medal match, Toronto defeated Western 25-16 as Grace McClintock scored 19. Marjorie Patterson led the Mustangs with 7. Mary Wong added 5 and Grace Rath 5. The Mustangs (coached by Joyce Plumtre) also included Cae Hargan, Mary Milne, Marjorie Dampier, Dorothy Timpany, Agnes Magee, Marjorie Rean, Lois Gidley, Grace Marian, Marion McMurray, Catherine Hargan.

        In the final, McGill defeated Queen’s 21-20 as Winifred Chisholm scored 8, Cynthia Bazin 5 and Marjorie Lynch 2. Doreen Kenny led Queen’s with 10. Ruth Fishleigh added 8 and Beatrice Yuille 2. The score was knotted at 12 at the half. Kenny gave Queen’s a 20-18 lead with four minutes to play but McGill notched an and-one to win it with roughly two minutes to play. Gaels coach J. Rose was paid a grand $50 to coach the team.
