There were a lot of grat players who deserved it, so I was bit shocked.” Mariners coach Tom Elwood said “it was a clinic. I had friends of mine who said they had never seen a team execute like we did at both ends of the court. If we weren’t playing perfect, we were pretty damn close. Five minutes into the game, it was over.” Elwood said “it’s always a grind and a challenge. You have to work just as hard as a coach as you would ask a player to work. It’s my job to give them what they need to be able to succeed. In the end, it’s what I thought we could do all along.” *Emily Williams led the Cougars with 11.
