       Royal Military College, Sir George Williams and Ottawa finished in a three-way tie atop the standings with 10-2 records. RMC won the coin toss to see who’d be seeded first in the tourney. There was a four-way tie for the fourth and final playoff spot between Carleton; College Militaire Royale, Laval and Loyola, after Loyola defeated Ottawa 71-70 on the final night of the season to force the fourth-place tie. Laval withdrew from playoff competition.

       In the OSLIAA semis, RMC defeated Loyola 59-34 after taking a 25-13 halftime lead. Bob Murray paced the Paladins with 18. Norm Simpson added 13, Howe 10, Manson 10, Darling 4, Burleigh 2 and Benedet 2, while Barrigar and Vallentgoed were scoreless. Gene ‘Boston’ Gagnon led Loyola with 14. Noonan added 6, Noble 4, Dionne 4, Rumfeldt 4 and Boyle 2, while Shea and Vitiennes were scoreless.  

In the other semi, Ottawa defeated SGW 56-55 in a close contest which SGW had led 24-23 at the half and 39-38 at the three-quarter mark. The game was tied at 54 when Gerry Desmarais hit a layup for Ottawa with a minute to go. Al Mikalachki hit a free throw with three seconds to go to pare the margin. The whistle ending the game then blew and referee Nat Kaufman assessed a technical on Ottawa for “unfavorable post game comments” which gave SGW an opportunity to tie the contest. But Michalachki missed the free throw. Joe Marino paced Ottawa with 15. Ed Cashman added 11, Barch 9, Desmarais 8, McKay 6, Baron 4, Mendes 2 and Matala 1, while Sylvestre and Legare were scoreless. Al Mikalachki paced the Georgians with 19. Bryant added 9, Bob Gariepy 7, O’Connell 6, Hawkes 3 and MacKay 2, while McBride was scoreless.

In the OSLIAA bronze medal match, Sir George Williams defeated Loyola 75-70 as Al Mikalachki scored 32, Don Bryant 15, Gariepy 8, MacKay 8, Hawkes 6, O’Connell 4 and McBride 2. Gene Gagnon paced Loyola with 15. Rumfeldt added 12, Noonan 9, Noble 9, Dionne 3 and Boyle 2, while Shea and Vitiennes were scoreless. Loyola also included Gerry Dionne, Martinez, Donovan, Mike Furlong, Ron Chisholm, Terry O’Connor, Larry Langille, Brian Gallery.

In the OSLIAA final, RMC thrashed Ottawa by 84-64 as 6-3 centre Bob Murray scored 25, Pete Howe 17, Norm Simpson 16, Manson 15, Burleigh 8 and Benedet 3, while Barrigar, Darling and Vallentgoed were scoreless. RMC hit 36 field goals and 12-17 from the line. Gerry Desmarais scored 18 to pace the Gee-Gees. Ed Cashman added 15, Mckay 9, Marino 8 and Mendes 2, while Sylvestre, Baron, Matala and Legare were scoreless. The Gee-Gees hit 24 field goals and 16-28 from the line. RMC opened the contest with an 18-3 run and led 43-25 at the half.
