Toronto captured the title with a (5-1) record. The Varsity Blues were coached by Lew Hayman a former all-American. The team was led by three Americans from St. Michael’s College: Hughie Marks from Rochester, N.Y.; Joe Connelly and Crowley. McGill, a young team with only two veterans in the line-up, Don Smaill who was graduating after 7 years with the Redmen, and Don Young, who was graduating after nine years, lost all six league games.

The Mustangs dressed only six and didn’t draw any players from its intermediate team until Fletcher and Whitwell fouled out in the third quarter. EAST INTERMEDIATE

In the Quebec intercollegiate intermediate league, the McGill Intermediates won the Montreal division with a (5-1) record, twice defeating Macdonald and Loyola and splitting with the University of Montreal. The McGill Intermediates defeated the University of Montreal 23-15 to earned the right to Bishop’s in a playoff for the title.

In the final, the McGill intermediates defeated Bishop’s 44-21; 31-27 (Total: 75-48). 

The runner-up Bishop’s Gaiters did not have a coach but captain Rusty Baird assumed the duties. The Gaiters included playing coach Rusty Baird (manager Sid Medine, assistant manager Colby Aikins), Bob Mayhew, Basil Stevens, Basil, Ken Pyper, Ian Hume, Tommy Johnson, Mickey Rosenthal, Averill Mutton, Dick Rollit, Fred Royal, no coach but captain Rusty Baird assumed the duties.
