Saskatchewan swept Alberta in a two-game series in Saskatoon.
Manitoba did not participate. The Bisons (coached by S Nalevykin) included Joan Abercrombie, Sally Dangerfield, Annie Lou Ormiston, Joan Chylinski, June McCullaugh, Avonne Horcoff, Lois Miles, Bula Paterson, Gerda Schell, Yvonne Warnock and Ruth Thorvaldson.
In game one, Saskatchewan prevailed 46-44. Alberta led 24-20 at the half. Shirley Fahlman scored the winner for the Huskies. Jean Young led the Huskiettes with 16. McKay added 14, Elaine Breese 8, Clark 7, Shirley Fahlman 6, Raycraft 3. Joan McFarlane paced Alberta with 11. Nora Olsen added 9, Neta Mercer 8, Mary Millar 5 and Pat Waddington 3.
In game two, Saskatchewan won 45-42 as Elaine Breese scored 10.
