The Alberta Pandas defeated the Saskatchewan Huskies 24-12 and 30-17 at home to nab Race trophy.

The Pandas kept step into the passing lanes and their ball movement was exceptional as they ripped the Huskies 24-12 in game one. Jean Brown opened the scoring with a bucket for Saskatchewan but Jean Cogswell hit a free throw and Irene Cogswell a bucket and Alberta soon had the lead at 12. Jean Cogswell paced Alberta with 7. Evelyn Barnett added 4, Irene Barnett 4, Gay Ross 4, Catherine Rose 3, Amy Cogswell 2, while Winnie Algar and Rosamund Dobson were scoreless. Helen Preston paced Saskatchewan with 4. Gwen Cox added 4, Isabel Scrimegour 2 and Jean Brown 2, while Jessie MacKay, Corrine Trerice, Margaret Alexander and Marion Dundas were scoreless.
In game two, Alberta dominated 30-17. The Pandas led 7-6 after one quarter and 13-6 at the half playing a very deliberate game. Evelyn Barnett opened the scoring for the Pandas. Irene Barnett added a bucket and Alberta never again trailed. Evelyn Barnett paced Alberta with 12. Jean Cogswell added 7, Amy Cogswell 6, Rosamund Dobson 2, Irene Barnett 2 and Gay Ross 1, while Winnie Alger and Catherine Rose were scoreless. Corrine Trerice led Saskatchewan with 7. Gwen Cox added 4, Helen Preston 4 and Margaret Alexander 2, while Jessie MacKay, Jean Brown, Marion Dundas and Isabel Scrimegour were scoreless.
