Saskatchewan fielded a team but does not appear to have played for the Race Trophy. The Huskies included Isobel Atcheson, Judy Bulmer, Dot Rutherford, Jennie Thompson, Gert Truscott, Winnie Ward, Marion Watshick and Fiona Harburn.
Alberta defeats Manitoba 33-23 to win their eighth title in nine years. The Pandas defeated the Bisons in Manitoba by taking advantage of their superior speed. Alberta led 18-6 at the half and was never seriously threatened, though Calhoun, Kinney and Mahaffy fouled out. When the Bisons kept fouling out and were down to four players, Pandas coach George Parney pulled out one of his troops to even the field. Doris Calhoun led Alberta with 18. C Holgren added 7, H Mahaffey 6, M Mernyk 4, J Koppa 4, L Carscadden 2 and R Fry 1, while M Kinney was scoreless. M Schofield led the Bisonettes with 6. Nancy Milton added 5, Berna McKenzie 5, D Falconer 2, A Thorlakson 2, A Livingstone 2 and E Blankstein 1, while H Schofield was scoreless.
