Saskatchewan fielded a team but does not appear to have played for the Race Trophy. The Huskies included D Adams, Argue, Eleanor Martin, Dorothy Mckenzie, M Potter, Dorothy Riches, Winnie Rowles, Margaret Sillers, Winona Wood, Bernie McCartney, Mildred Wright and J Martin.
The University of British Columbia proposed to enter CanWest competition but at the last minute withdrew because they could not provide financial guarantees to cover travel costs of the University of Alberta.
Alberta defeated Manitoba 68-10 in a single game in February. Alberta fast paced attack left Manitoba reeling. Alberta led 12-3, 32-6 and 50-8 at the quarters. Gladys Fry paced Alberta with 30. Vera Palmer added 16.
In an intriguing conflict, the Pandas dropped a 50-34 decision to the Edmonton Grads in February. Gladys Fry played for Varsity until three-quarter mark and then played the final quarter for the Grads (she was a member of both teams).
