The women began playing men’s rules during the 1923-24 campaign.

Alberta again swings east and thrashes Saskatchewan 46-18. The Pandas led 20-10 at the half.

Alberta defeated host Manitoba 13-10 to retain the inter-varsity title. Lucille Dobson paced the Pandas with 6. Frances Alexander added 4, Marguerite Cooper 2 and Helen Benny 1. Elsie Gauer notched all 10 for the Bisons.

Manitoba thrashed Saskatchewan 44-21 as Elsie Gauer scored 19, Louise Keith 16 and Sadie Robson 9, while Marion Bridgman, Hilda Fleming, Green, Maybelle Poucher and Metcalfe were scoreless. Kennedy paced the Huskies with 10. Trumpour added 7, Switzer 2 and Cummings 2, while Wilson, Millar, Knox, Stice and Hinkley were scoreless.
