        Manitoba captures a round-robin tournament held in Winnipeg.

Saskatchewan defeated Alberta 34-24. The Bears played without starting centre Bill Hansen, who was hospitalized. Alberta led 18-6 at the half. But the Huskies opened the second half with a 9-0 run. Con Fitzgerald paced the Huskies with 15. Mike Sharpe added 6, Jim Scott 5, Ivan King 4, Chuck Fewster 2 and Lou Kendry 2. Bill Rich paced the Bears with 9. Bill Price added 6, Jim Macrae 5, Don Steed 2, Bill Procter 1 and Bob Strother 2, while Del Steed was scoreless.

Manitoba thrashed Alberta 44-29. The score was knotted at 14 but Manitoba scored six unanswered to take a 20-14 lead at the half. Mike Spack and Bill ‘Bunky’ Templin each scored 12 to pace the Bisons. Hank Syzek added 8, Rube Cherniak 5, Cam Hetherington 4 and Bill Sisler 3, while Don Trifunov, Johnny Potter, Jack Patterson and Jack McManus were scoreless or did not play. Jim Macrae led the Bears with 8. Bill Price added 7, Del Steed 6, Bill Proctor 4, Bill Rich 2 and Strother 2, while Reid Payne, Nori Nishio, Don Steed and Gord McCormack were scoreless.

Manitoba defeated Saskatchewan 36-29.

During the season, Manitoba made application for the NCAA division two North Central Conference but was rejected.
