        The Alberta Golden Bears played in a senior men’s provincial league, losing in the finals to Raymond 38-41 and 32-41. The Golden Bears (coached by Arnold Henderson and managed by Armand Erwin) included playing coach Henderson, Addie Donaldson, Merton Keel, Buzz Fenerty (a Rhodes scholar), Bill Pullishy, Anderson, Wood, Crawford, Bowland and Gordon Keel.

The Saskatchewan Huskies played in a senior men’s league. The Huskies (coached by Colb McEwan, managed by Joe Millman) included Dave Kirkbride, Davies, Doug Willis, Ernie Marshall, G Wyness, Edwards, Howard Urquhart, Frank Kells, Pete Graham and Murray Matheson.

The Manitoba men played in a senior league. The Bisons (coached by Henry Schendel, manager T Milligan) included N Johnston, W Dydyk, A Lamb, Ernie Spence, G Earl, Charlie Proudfoot, I Litmer, M Turner and W Wright.

        No intercollegiate play. At the start of the campaign, the University of Alberta hired former Ottawa Roughriders football quarterback Jake Jamieson to be the Golden Bears new basketball and rugby coach. Jamieson had toiled on the Ottawa Rideaus basketball team that captured a national senior men’s title.
