In the semis of a single elimination tournament, U.B.C. defeated Alberta 28-22. U.B.C. went into a stall for most of the first half and led 8-0 before Alberta rallied to within 11-6 at the half. Addie Donaldson scored all 7 of his points in the third quarter as the Bears rallied but U.B.C. dominated the final frame. U.B.C. hit 6-10 from the line, while Alberta was 6-9. Wright and Pi Campbell each scored 8 to lead U.B.C. Osborne added 6, Nicholson 2 and MacIntyre 2, while Armstrong was scoreless. Addie Donaldson led Alberta with 7. Keel added 5, Woods 2, Kennedy 2, Bill Pullishy 2 and Frank Richard 2, while Buzz Fenerty, Anderson and Smith were scoreless.
In the other semi, Manitoba defeated Saskatchewan x-x.
In the final, Manitoba defeated U.B.C., the reigning senior A champs of the country, 29-28. U.B.C. trailed by nine in the second half but rallied down the stretch as Harry Campbell and Bob Osborne each hit three field goals. Carrick led Manitoba with 15. Nitchuk added 10.
