        In the quarterfinals, the Seneca Sting (seeded B1) clipped the Lakeland Rustlers (seeded B4) 77-69 after leading 10-8, 27-26 and 51-36 at the quarters. The Sting led by as many as 20 and the Rustlers rallied no closer than 7 down the stretch. Trevor Hutton was chosen player of the game for the Sting, while Artavis Holiday earned the laurels for the

It was a matter of a couple of possessions.         In the bronze semis, the Holland Hurricanes edged the SAIT Trojans 83-79 in overtime. The Trojans led 24-12, 45-26 and 55-49 at the quarters. The score was knotted at 68 after regulation. “We talked in the halftime about the kind of season we had and the kind of guys we had,” Hurricanes coach Josh Whitty told the Charlottetown Guardians. “We didn’t want to sit around all summer with the sour taste in our mouth of that performance. … (We) fought like hell in the fourth and overtime to win it.” Roosevelt Whyley was chosen player of the game for the Hurricanes, while Charlie Connor earned the laurels for the Trojans. In the bronze medal match, the Holland Hurricanes edged the Jean-de-Brebeuf Dynamiques 91-87 in double-overtime to earn their third consecutive CCAA bronze medal. The Hurricanes led 24-14, 38-27, 54-48 at the quarters. A personal 10-0 run by Guillaume Pepin rallied the Dynamiques in the second half. The score was knotted at 71 after regulation and 78 after the first overtime. “What a day to remember,” Hurricanes coach Josh Whitty told the Charlottetown Guardian after the squad had won their second consecutive overtime game of the day. “All these players will never forget what they accomplished today. It was incredible. A real gutsy performance.” Jace Colley was “unbelievable,” Whitty added.

 “He was unbelievable. Some of the plays he made down the stretch were enormous. He had blocks, he had takes to the rim, he just did a little bit of everything today. That’s what he’s been doing here for five years.” Jace Colley was chosen player of the game for the Hurricanes, while William Boyer-Richard earned the laurels for the Dynamiques.         In the final, the Seneca Sting dispatched the Douglas Royals 86-73. The Royals led 22-19 after one quarter and 35-34 at the half. The Sting led 64-57 after three quarters. The Royals rallied within two early in the final frame but the Sting pulled away down the stretch. Yusuf Ali was chosen player of the game for the Sting, while Reese Morris earned the laurels for the Royals.
