The 3rd-seeded Quispamsis Kennebecasis Valley Crusaders mauled the 6ht-seeded Moncton Purple Knights 79-41 as Schmidt scored 16, Melvin 15, Brown 12, Millican 12, Kilpatrick 8, Skinner 5, Dixon 4, Martin 4, Grift 2, Wallace 2 and Robertson 2. The 4th-seeded Riverview Royals clipped the 5th-seeded Sussex Sonics 64-54 as Kenny scored 20, White 12, McIntyre 10, Radford 8, Williston 8, Cormier 4 and Kelly 2. Candace Jeffrey led the Sonics with 22. Michelle Greene added 19, Sara Creighton 6, Chandra Feltus 4, Bess Harvey 2 and Amy Adair 1.
In the last quarterfinal, the top-seeded Fredericton Black Kats stomped the 8th-seeded Saint John Greyhounds 98-28 as Dickens scored 20, Munn 14, Elhadi 12, Lohnes 10, Rigby 10, Leclair 9, Crandlemire 8, Watson 6, Ryan 4, Grasman 2 and Woolaver 2. Charlotte McGill led the Greyhounds with 12. Colleen Hobson added 7, Shannon Burns 3, Karen McAfee 2 and Rhonda Lee Lawton 1.
In the semis, the top-seeded Fredericton Black Kats clubbed the 4th-seeded Riverview Royals 102-58 as Rigby scored 20, Dickens 18, Munn 15, Crandlemire 14, Ryan 14, Grasman 6, Woolaver 6, Elhadi 4, Watson 3, Stephenson 2 and Lohnes 2. In the other semi, the 2nd-seeded Miramichi James M. Hill Tommies spanked the 3rd-seeded Quispamsis Kennebecasis Valley Crusaders 82-63 as Kingston scored 22, Bell 21, Arsenault 21, Bremner 11 and Matheson 7. Schmidt led the Crusaders with 22. Grift added 12, Kilpatrick 8, Brown 8, Dixon 5, Skinner 4, Wallace 2 and Melvin 2.
In the final, the top-seeded Fredericton Black Kats spanked the 2nd-seeded Miramichi James M. Hill Tommies 66-47 as player of the game Rigby scored 21, Dickens 11, Munn 10, Crandlemire 9, Woolaver 7, Lohnes 2, Watson 2, Ryan 2 and Leckir 2. The Black Kats, who won their sixth consecutive crown, 35-25 at the half. Rigby told the Saint John Telegraph-Journal that “we knew if we came out overconfident or that we’re going to time because we beat them every time, the game was theirs. WE had to play a really tough game.” Black Kats coach Steve O’Rourke said “they are all special. Any time you have a new group of kids, it’s their first crack at it. So many teams would like to be here. That we’re fortunate enough to be here and able to win another is a real special feeling. They are all great. We struggled throughout that game. Some of definitely due to the fact that James Hill went into a zone. But I really never even felt that we lost control. I think the fact that we’re just a little bit deeper probably helped us in the end.” Bell led the Tommies with 25. Arsenault added 10, Kingston 8 and Bremner 4.
