All divisions of provincial play, and particularly the final four, were disrupted by an ongoing contract dispute between the provincial government and Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation (STF). Extracurricular activities were pulled from schools across the province during the week before HOOPLA, the championships that had been scheduled to be conducted in Moose Jaw. HOOPLA “will be cancelled due to the lack of teacher involvement [whether as coaches, officials or organizers] in the events and the constraints for schools and host sites in planning and preparing for the events,” the STF announced. The Saskatchewan High School Athletic Association subsequently announced that teams which had qualified for HOOPLA were “invited to participate” in a one-day provincial championship, with their opponent based on their seeding.

       In the quarterfinals, the top-seeded Regina Christian Grizzlies crushed the 8th-seeded Oxbow Prairie Horizons Black Knights 101-61.

       The 5th-seeded Moose Jaw Cornerstone Christian Falcons defeated the 4th-seeded Unity Warriors 74-68.

       The 2nd-seeded Clavet Cougars whipped the 7th-seeded Regina R.G. Huda Hurricanes 77-38.

       In the last quarterfinal, the 3rd-seeded Osler Valley Christian Academy Lions stomped the 6th-seeded Canora Cougars 96-60.

       No HOOPLA semi-finals were held.

       In the invitational bronze medal match, the 3rd-seeded Osler Valley Christian Academy Lions clubbed the 5th-seeded Moose Jaw Cornerstone Christian Falcons 103-76. Jason Bueckert scored 30 to paced the Bisons. Troy Hofstra added 25, Dustin Ratke 24, Blake Miller 11, Abdiel Zabelata Bargan 3, Jeriah Neufeld 2, Tyson Giesbrecht 2, Kaeden Buecker 2, Seth Neufeld 2 and Logan Schmidt 2. Drew Biette scored 20 to pace the Falcons (coach Kalen Senecal, assistant Rodger Gregor, assistant Conner Taylor). Cooper Gregor added 19, Matt Artavai 18, Cole Benallick 7, Wyatt Craik 7 and Asato Yasuda 6, while Tanner Behrns, Luke Kaminski, McKelvey Ellard, Ethan Rannie, Elias Yuke and Brendan Couch were scoreless.

       In the invitational final, the top-seeded Regina Christian Grizzlies dispatched the 2nd-seeded Clavet Cougars 82-72 after leading 24-11, 47-35 and 66-55 at the quarters. Jamiel Flaman paced the Grizzlies with 25. Markus Glasspell added 21, Carter Glasspell 17, Michael McMillan 11, William Cornish 4, Elijah Reddekopp 2 and Riel Booy 2. Jesse Klinger led the Cougars with 27. Jackson Shabatoski added 14, Ty Randall 13, Clark Goebel 7, Cameron Derbyshire 5, Silas Robertson 4 and Waylon Blacklock 2.
