“I’m writing further to your correspondence with Justin Walsh, in which you requested additional information concerning the results of the OFSAA Girls’ A Basketball Championship. While OFSAA can understand the intention of your website called “From Naismith to Nash”, we respectfully decline collaboration.
We would ask that you refrain from contacting OFSAA convenors directly and requesting additional information not currently provided on championship websites. Further to this request, the OFSAA privacy policy does not permit sharing of student information for the purpose of publication. Your request to share scoresheets would breach current policy.
To be clear, we do not wish to interfere with the current direction of your website. We simply wish to ensure that information is shared in a private manner.

The 3rd-seeded Brockville Académie catholique Ange-Gabriel Anguilles clipped the 6th-seeded Belleville Nicholson Catholic Crusaders 39-31 after leading 22-21 at the half. The Crusaders included Charlotte Farrell.
The 4th-seeded Metcalfe Osgoode Township Panthers spanked the 5th-seeded Timmins O’Gorman Knights 70-46.
In the last quarterfinal, the 2nd-seeded Ancaster Hamilton District Christian Knights dispatched the 7th-seeded Chatham John McGregor Panthers 51-36 after leading 33-17 at the half. The Panthers (coach Krissy Smith) included Avery Krouse, Kaydence Crone-Moore, Jayde Melhuish-McGahan, Maisie Brown, Harleigh LoPresti, Ryan O’Donohue, Avery Krouse, Leriah Lockhart, Paige Wilken, Leeah Turner and Alijah Kitt.
In the semis, the 4th-seeded Metcalfe Osgoode Township Panthers toppled the top-seeded Breslau Woodland Christian Cavaliers 46-37. The Cavaliers led 10-5 after one quarter and 17-12 at the half. The Panthers led 28-23 after three quarters.
In the other semi, the 3rd-seeded Brockville Académie catholique Ange-Gabriel Anguilles clipped the 2nd-seeded Ancaster Hamilton District Christian Knights 56-44 after leading 15-4, 29-13 and 39-33 at the quarters.
In the bronze medal match, the 2nd-seeded Ancaster Hamilton District Christian Knights edged the top-seeded Breslau Woodland Christian Cavaliers 43-40. The score was knotted at 12 after one quarter. The Knights led 26-16 at the half and 35-27 after three quarters.
In the final, the 4th-seeded Metcalfe Osgoode Township Panthers dispatched the 3rd-seeded Brockville Académie catholique Ange-Gabriel 44-30 after leading 8-4, 25-7 and 31-19 at the quarters. “They are a special group of girls,” Panthers coach Aaron Harvey told Ottawasportspages.ca. “It was exciting, nice to see them get the gold because they’re a really solid team that met their potential. … It’s their work ethic. They work hard. The players worked hard all season and peaked at the right time. They played their best at OFSAA. … We had a full-court, man-to-man press the entire weekend. We pressed in the semifinals and final for 32 minutes. We didn’t stop. We’re lucky our athletes are well conditioned and want to be aggressive. I asked them a couple of times if they wanted to go half-court press, but they said no. … They’re great kids. They work hard for the wins. They’re ready to battle. We don’t rely on two to three players to do it all. We play our players lots and together they contribute. When everyone shares the load, it’s not too much burden to shoulder.” The Panthers finished (21-2) on the season.
