In the semis, the 2nd-seeded Providence University College Pilots torched the 3rd-seeded Université de Saint-Boniface Les Rouges by a 125-40. The Pilots took command with a 16-0 run in the first quarter and led 67-14 at the half. Pilots coach Joel Cursey said “we were locked in and the shots kept falling tonight. The 125 showed that we are hopefully ready for CMU. We played hard the first half.” Les Rouges assistant Annick Svistovski said “we knew we would have tough competition this season and the girls worked hard all year. We competed hard all season and look forward to next season.” Kishi Rioferio was chosen player of the game for the Pilots, while Crystal Teichrieb earned the laurels for Les Rouges. Claire Grislis led the Pilots with 15. Alex Patterson added 13 and Megan Wiebe 13. Teichrieb paced Les Rouges with 13. Casey Eung-Chang added 8.
In the final, the top-seeded Canadian Mennonite Blazers captured their fifth consecutive title by dusting the 2nd-seeded Providence University College Pilots 73-48. The Pilots led 19-18 after one quarter and 34-31 at the half. But the Blazers clamped down in the second half. Blazers coach Joe Di Curzio said “PUC played well and we stepped up our defence in the second half and made it harder on them. It is a blessing to have won five in a row with all the players and assistant coaches who helped along the way.” Player of the game Anna Pyne said “this is a huge accomplishment as we have been great on and off the court with our chemistry and team bonding. We know PUC is a great and so we are. It is special because we have a rivalry with them and compete with the best and came up on top.” Pilots coach Joel Cursey said “they are a great team and we knew it was possible to play with them and win the game. We are in year one of building and look forward to next season.” Pyne led the Blazers with 18. Briana Ehrmantraut added 15 and Shirliz Apiyo 13. Kishi Rioferio and Clair Grislis each scored 9 to pace the Pilots.
