In the final, the top-seeded Thetford Les Filons dispatched the 2nd-seeded Dawson Blues 77-68 to capture the RSEQ title in their first year of tier one competition. Les Filons led 18-17 after one quarter and 34-32 at the half. The Blues led 61-58 after three quarters. Les Filons coach Jacques Paiement Jr said “it’s the culmination of a perfect season. It’s a great victory and everyone has contributed to it. Our depth served us well at the end of the match, because we felt that the Blues were starting to run out of energy. We’re going to the Canadian championship and we’re going through the front door.” Ousmane Diawara paced Les Filons with 13 on 5-7 from the floor, 1-3 from the arc and 2-2 from the line.
