The program, directed and coached by Igor Rwigema, aimed to recruit “French-speaking talent from all over the world including the Ivory Coast, Guinea, France, Congo and of course Quebec.”

After the season, Canada Topflight Academy announces that it will expand its program to Calgary. To be known as CTA West, it will be directed and coached by Adam Huffman, who toiled for the University of Regina and then launched the Doggpound Basketball Training Academy in 2007.
