        The Winnipeg Free Press reported that Manitoba finished (3-1) in pool play, having beaten Alberta 88-61, Nova Scotia 64-42 and Newfoundland 80-46.

                In pool B play, Manitoba defeated Alberta 88-61 as Diane Zunic scored 20. Alberta (coached by Doug Baker) included Sheri Jensen, Linda Westrop, Corie Gunderson, Lori Lozo, Tracey Cook, Jonene Schalm, alternate Shannon Frier.

        In the semis, British Columbia thrashed Manitoba 85-45 as Jennifer Curley scored 18 and Megan Magee 13. Diane Zunic led Manitoba with 11.

        In the fifth-place playoff, Newfoundland whipped Saskatchewan 75-52. Nan Anderson paced Saskatchewan with 13.

        In the bronze medal match, Manitoba thumped Quebec 73-53 as Larissa Washuk scored 13 and Cheryl Lamotte 12. Quebec included Melanie Gagne, Isabelle Boucher, Catherine Gallant

        In the final, British Columbia defeated Ontario 85-61 as 6-3 centre Jennifer Curley scored 23, Andrea Loukes 18 and 6-3 forward Megan Magee 15. Andrea Schneider added 8 and dished 8 assists. B.C. led 35-29 at the half.
