In the quarterfinals, held in Fredericton, the 7th-seeded Boiestown Upper Miramichi Regional Boas nipped the 2nd-seeded Florencevill Falcons 33-30 as Wilson scored 12 and Reid 10. Shirley Martin led the Falcons with 10. The Falcons also include Warren, Sheila Martin, McQuade, Allison, Wybenga, Herbert.
The Centreville Regional Cougars clubbed the Campobello Island Consolidated Vikings 53-31 as Cain scored 19 and Black 13. Natalie (Norma?) Newman led the Vikings with 22. The Vikings also included Jackson, Matthews, Smart, Brown, Lord.
The top-seeded Petitcodiac Regional Panthers dusted 8th-seeded St. George Eastern Charlotte 44-19 as Sprague scored 12. Eastern Charlotte included Vautour, Hawkins, Newell, McDowell, Geldart.
In the last quarterfinal, the Stanley Regional Blue Devils edged the Hillsborough Caledonia Regional Tigers 36-32 as MacFarlane scored 9 and Wagner 9. Lorna Jones led the Tigers with 11. Karen Smith added 10. The Tigers also included R Downey, C Jones, Steeves, C Downey, Dobson.
In the semis, the defending champ Centreville Cougars upset the top-seeded Petitcodiac Regional Panthers 39-36 as Cain scored 16, Lamoreau 12, Orchard 7, McKeil 2 and Black 2. Blakeney led the Panthes with 12. Bannister added 12, Blakeney 10 and Monroe 2.
In the other semi, the Stanley Blue Devils spanked the Boiestown Upper Miramichi Boas 46-19 as L Douglass scored 16, Robbins 14, G Douglass 10, O’Hara 3, McFarlane 2 and Wagner 1. Wilson led the Boas with 6. Hunter added 5, Reid 4, Spencer 2 and Conroy 2.
In the final, the Centreville Cougars edged the Stanley Blue Devils 35-33 as S Lamoreau scored 13, McKiel 8, Cain 8, Orchard 4 and Black 4. The Cougars led 25-12 in the second half but the Blue Devils rallied to within 34-33 with seven seconds to play. Linda Douglas led the Blue Devils with 11. Gail Douglas added 11, MacFarlane 9 and Robbins 2
