The NBIAA conducts a reclassification: AAA schools are those with an enrolment over 1000. AA schools with an enrolment between 400-999. ‘A’ schools have an enrolment below 400. The AA division is the former ‘M’ division.

       In the quarterfinals, the 3rd-seeded Rothesay Regional Red Hawks clipped the 6th-seeded Bathurst Phantoms 40-29 as Wiggins scored 15, Olive 11, Muise 6, Miller 3, Barry 3 and Stephens 2. Debbie Perron paced the Phantoms with 14. Leslie Delicaet added 6, Debbie Arsenault 4, Cathy Grebenc 2, Joanne Grebenc 2 and Anne Marie Smith 2.

       In the other quarterfinal, the 4th-seeded Sackville Tantramar Titans clocked the 5th-seeded Sussex Sonics 54-32 as Henry scored 19, Johnson 13, Dole 8, Edgett 4, Mitton 4, LeBlanc 2, Holloran 2 and Carson 2. Joan Proctor led the Sonics with 11. (Newspapers reported competing box scores so tallies may be incorrect). Cheryl Fleiger added 7, Anita Jonnan 4, Barb Freeze 4, Sonya Perry 4, Patsy Brown 2, Heather Walker 2, and Black 2.

       In the semis, the 2nd-seeded Riverview Royalettes dispatched the Rothesay Regional Red Hawks 52-44 as Boudreau scored 19, Johnston 10, P Reid 10, Horton 6, Ratcliffe 3, LeBlanc 2 and Fisher 2. The Red Hawks led 26-18 at the half. Royalettes coach Mary Campbell told the Saint John Telegraph-Journal that “we’re a second half club. It’s been that way all year.” Olive led the Red Hawks with 11. Wiggins added 10, Muise 10, Stephens 7, Barry 4 and Murray 4.

       In the other semi, the top-seeded Woodstock Wildcats defeated the 4th-seeded Sackville Tantramar Titans 31-26 as Culberson scored 9, Bustard 8, Nichol 4, McBride 4, Mullins 4 and McLean 2. Henry led the Titans with 17. Cole added 8 and Edgett 1.

In the final, the 2nd-seeded Riverview Royals defeated the top-seeded Woodstock Wildcats 45-31 as Boudreau scored 19, Horton 8, P Reid 6, Ratcliffe 5, Fisher 4 and LeBlanc 3. The Royals led 23-17 at the half. Culbertson led Woodstock with 13. Gibson added 9, Nichol 5, McBride 2 and Bustard 2
