In the regional semis and provincial quarterfinals held in Woodstock, the St. Stephen Spartans clipped the Campbellton Sugarloaf Bruins 76-60 as Gagnon scored 23. Fausta Charlong led the Bruins with 22. The Bruins also included Natalie Gionet.
In the other regional semi, the Woodstock Wildcats dispatched the St. George Fundy Mariners x-x.
In the regional final and provincial semis, the St. Stephen Spartans defeated the Woodstock Wildcats 63-55 as Horne scored 14. The Spartans led 32-31 at the half. Everly led the Wildcats with 16.
In the regional semis and provincial quarterfinals held in Tantramar, the Lawrenceville-Bristol Carleton North Stars spanked the Hampton Huskies 74-42 as M Williams scored 16. Adrienne Holder led the Huskies with 19.
In the other regional semi, the Sackville Tantramar Titans whipped the Dalhousie Condors 75-36 as Box scored 25 and Lafford 17. Melissa Elswiger led the Condors with 11.
In the regional final and provincial semis, the Sackville Tantramar Titans dispatched the Lawrenceville-Bristol Carleton North Stars 66-53 as Box scored 31 and McMillan 12. McIsaac led the Stars with 14. Saulis added 10.
In the final, the Sackville Tantramar Regional Titans clipped the St. Stephen Spartans 77-60 as Box scored 24, McMillan 20, player of the game Lafford 17, while nabbing 17 boards, and Brander 8. The Titans led 44-36 at the half and outrebounded the Spartans 41-22. Box told the Fredericton Daily Gleaner that “they really had some tough defence and there was always someone on me. But this was our first trip to the Aitken Centre in nine year and we were determined not to go home empty-handed.” Lafford said “I finished better than I usually finish. … I felt kind of loose out there.” McMillan had won a title year earlier with Woodstock but transferred to Tantramar after her father became the school’s principal. Horne led the Spartans with 18. Sullivan added 10, Lenihan 10, Gagnon 9 and Gillmor 7.
