The Purple Knights led 46-16 at the half. Jane Carson led the Trojans with 9. Margaret Fraser added 6, Kim LeBlanc 4, Nancy Rafferty 4, Heather MacDonald 3, H MacDonald 2 and Cheryl Wilson 2, while Giselle Hachey was scoreless.
The 5th-seeded Saint John Simonds Seabees clipped the 4th-seeded Quispamsis Kennebecasis Valley Crusaders 51-41 as Arsenault scored 14, MacNutt 13, Cotter 13 and Lee 11. Allison Kent led the Crusaders with 12. Karen McCormick added 8, Sharon Creelman 7, Mary Chamberlain 6, Carolyn Maloney 4, Monica Steves 3 and Diane Laird 2, while Monica Barry was scoreless.
The 2nd-seeded Sackville Tantramar Titans nipped the 7th-seeded Miramichi James M. Hill Tommies 71-70 as George scored 27, Williams 14, A Doncaster 10, K Doncaster 6, Acton 4, Tuff 4, MacDonald 2 and Wood 2. Paulette Lynch led the Tommies with 20. Cathy Flannagan added 18, Kim Kerr 14, Paula McFarlane 10 and Gail Walsh 8, while Cathy Sproul was scoreless. The Tommies led 39-31 at the half.
In the last quarterfinal, the 3rd-seeded Saint John Greyhounds defeated the 6th-seeded Fredericton Black Kats 56-48 as McMaster scored 22, Beaman 12, Gallant 12, Darby 6, Tait 2 and Fraser 2. Margo Bird led the Black Kats with 10. Carol Cooper added 10, Lisa Gormley 10, Patti Ramsey 10, Kathy Gray 4 and Kelly Simmonds 4.
In the semis, the 2nd-seeded Sackville Tantramar Titans defeated the 3rd-seeded Saint John Greyhounds 53-47 as George scored 14, Williams 14, K Doncaster 12, A Doncaster 10, Wood 2 and Hofland 1. McMaster led the Greyhounds with 30. Tait added 6, Gallant 6 and Beaman 5.
In the other semi, the top-seeded Moncton Purple Knightlettes dispatched the 5th-seeded Saint John Simonds Seabees 52-46 as Slater scored 13, Smith 13, Wheeler 13, Thurrot 8, McLellan 4 and Clement 1. Lee led the Seabees with 16. Arseanult added 6, MacNutt 6, Cotter 6 and Rice 2.
In the bronze medal match, the 5th-seeded Saint John Simonds Seabees nipped the 3rd-seeded Saint John Greyhounds 37-36 as Arsenault scored 13, Cotter 12, Rice 8, MacNutt 2 and Matthews 2. Sue McMaster led the Greyhounds with 12. Kathy Darby added 11, Sue Beaman 8, Tanya Tait 4 and Debbie Gallant 1. The Greyhounds also included Cheryl Fraser.
In the final, the 2nd-seeded Sackville Tantramar Titans, stepping from their AA title of 1981, won the AAA crown by defeating the top-seeded Moncton Purple Knightlettes 70-41 as K Doncaster scored 17, George 16, Williams 14, Wood 7, Acton (Atkins?) 6, A Doncaster 4, MacDonald 2, Tuff 2 and Green 2. The Titans led 28-22 at the half. Shelley Smith paced Moncton with 10. Slater added 6, Thurrott 6, Clement 5, Wheeler 4, Allen 2, MacLellan 4 and Kay 2.
