       In game one, Vancouver edged Hamilton 33-32 as Liz Craig scored 7, Sharon Frederick 6, Janice Robinson 6, Frederich 6, Cheryl McIntosh 5, Stephens 3, Vaudry 2, Morris 2 and Hilliard 2, while Stothers was scoreless. Mount Pleasant led 17-10 at the half. Vancouver coach Glen Robertson told the Hamilton Spectator that “it took our girls a little while to get accustomed to the court and Hamilton’s style of play. When they did, they started playing true to form.” Pat McDonald led Quigley’s with 9. Linda Petch added 7, Bielak 2, Kerr 2, Gibbs 1 and Armes 1, while Selemba, Walls, Estey and Knapp were scoreless.

       In game two, Mount Pleasant edged Hamilton 30-27 as Judy Hilliard scored 11, McIntosh 5, Robinson 4, Craig 4, Frederich 3, Stephens 2 and Morris 1, while Vaudry and Stothers were scoreless. Linda Petch led the Quigley’s Kittens with 11. Gibbs added 5, MacDonald 4, Knapp 3, Bialek 2 and Kerr 2, while Armes, Selemba, Walls and Estey were scoreless. Hamilton coach George Deas told the Spectator that “our rebounding was bad, especially under our own basket. … they killed us.”

       In game three, the Quigley’s Kittens defeated Mount Pleasant 44-37 as Pat MacDonald scored 12, Linda Petch 10, Gibbs 8, Kerr 6, Estey 5, Walls 2 and Loraine Bielak 1, while Armes and Selemba were scoreless. Hamilton coach George Deas told the Hamilton Spectator that “we worked the ball better. And our shooting was more effective.” Sharon Frederich led Vancouver with 11, MacIntosh added 8, Craig 5, Robinson 5, Hilliard 3, Morris 2 and Stephens 2, while Vaudry and Stothers were scoreless. Vancouver coach Glen Stephenson said “they just outhustled us. They had to win this one and they went out and did it. Our girls were a little tired too, maybe they’ve been doing too much shopping.”

       In game four, Vancouver Mount Pleasant took the series with a 47-29 win as Judy Hilliard scored 22. Hamilton guard Linda Petch told the Hamilton Spectator that “it was that man-to-man defence which baffled us.”
