The 4th-seeded Fredericton ‘AA’ Black Kats clipped the 5th-seeded Perth-Andover Southern Victoria Vikings 65-50 as Mason scored 16. Donald Elliott led the Vikings with 14. Troy Gaunce added 14. The Vikings also included Bruce Mahar, Mike Kilcup, Dana Davenport, John Paul Ouellete, Warren Brown, Marco Oullette, Joey Brayall, Jonathan Garnett, Matthew Mahar.
The 2nd-seeded Sackville Tantramar Regional Titans dispatched the 7th-seeded Quispamsis Kennebecasis Valley Crusaders x-x. The Crusaders included Kendal French, Chip Downey, Sean Charlebois, Jeff Green, Justin McCann, Ryan Savage, Scott Wilcox, Andrew Guimond, Dick Wilson, Mark McKinney.
In the last quarterfinal, the 3rd-seeded Woodstock Thunder clubbed the 6th-seeded Lawrenceville-Bristol Carleton North Stars 85-52 as Cowper scored 23. Steve Killam scored 15 to lead the Stars, who also included Craig McCarthy, Peter White, David Cluff, Andy Pickle, Jamie DeLong, Don Stiles, Mike Kilfoil, Adam Kinney, Tommy DeMerchant.
In the semis, the top-seeded St. Stephen Spartans dispatched the 4th-seeded Fredericton ‘AA’ Black Kats x-x.
In the other semi, the 2nd-seeded Sackville Tantramar Titans defeated the 3rd-seeded Woodstock Thunder 72-64 as Becker scored 22, Aube 14, Perry 12, Crooks 8, Walton 8 and Finlay 4. Cowper led the Thunder with 28. McGuire added 8, Sewell 6, Rector 6, Currie 4, Lavender 4, Kidney 4 and McBride 4.
In the final, the St. Stephen Spartans whipped the Sackville Tantramar Titans 74-56 as Whitters scored 21, Perry 12, Green 11, Walker 8, Hastey 6, Scott 6, Atkinson 4, Wilson 4 and Davidson 2. The Spartans led 40-33 at the half and broke the game with a 22-3 to start the second half. Whitters told the Saint John Telegraph-Journal that “it feels great. Finally, we played well and we controlled the tempo of the game. We played our game and we got the ball inside when we wanted to.” Garrow led the Titans with 12. Aube added 12, Becker 7, Crooks 5, Walton 5, Coates 5, Finley 4, Perry 4 and Hurley 2.
