In the quarterfinals, held in McAdam, the host Warriors edged the Stanley Regional Blue Devils 41-36 as McGuire scored 15, Storr 11, W Thomas 10 and Arsenault 5. Lynn O’Hara paced the Blue Devils with 14. Lynn Waugh added 12, E Foreman 6 and Humble 4, while Jarvis, Hayes, Logan, Malone, Hurley, W Foreman, Walton and W Waugh were scoreless.
The Milltown Orphans nipped the Hartland Huskies 53-50 as Sweeney scored 18, Bresnahan 16, Johnson 10, B Eagan 6, Stewart 2 and Haley 1. Edward Pratt led the Huskies with 29. Wendell Orser added 16, Laurie Tompkins 3 and Ivan Rideout 2, while Robert Dickinson, Malcolm Hovey, Sharin Sproul and Smith were scoreless.
The Dalhousie Condors dusted the Rothesay Regional Red Hawks 52=27 as Appleby scored 15, Smith 8, Miller 8, Beattie 6, Robinson 6, Sutton 4 and Roy 2. Dave Roberts led the Red Hawks with 8. Blackburn added 6, Morse 5, Williams 4, Jackson 3 and Anderson 1, while Cole, Dickson and Price were scoreless.
In the last quarterfinal, the Bath Community Fighting Bees spanked the Grand Falls Rangers 52-28 as Doherty scored 18, Drost 15, Gilberson 11 and McFarlane 8. Martin Gillespie led the Rangers with 9. Deschenes added 8, Aubrey Brown 5, Rosaire LeBlanc 2, McManus 2 and Berube 2, while Corbin, Theriault, Moran and St. Onge were scoreless.
In the semis, the Dalhousie Condors defeated the Bath Community Fighting Bees 36-32 as LeBlanc scored 14, Miller 9, Smith 6, Morrison 4 and Appleby 3. Nixon led the Fighting Bees with 17. Rideout added 10, Doherty 3 and Martin 2.
In the other semi, the Milltown Orphans clipped the McAdam Warriors 42-34 as Johnson scored 14, Bresnahan 9, Sweeny 7, G Greenough 6, D Eagan 4 and Haley 2. W Thomas led the Warriors with 22. Arsenault added 7 McGuire 3 and Storr 2.
In the bronze medal match, the Bath Community Fighting Bees bit the McAdam Warriors 52-26 as Coherty scored 17, Rideout 16, Nixon 14, Martin 3 and John MacFarlane 2. Wayne Thomas led the Warriors with 10. Lloyd Storr added 8, Leo McGuire 4, Arsenault 2 and M Storr 2, while Logan, Golding, Thomas, Stannit (Stannix?), McCracken, McAleenan, Perry, Olmstead and Moffett were scoreless.
In the final, the Dalhousie Condors defeated the Milltown Orphans in overtime 31-30 as Gerry Miller hit the winning free throw. Milltown’s Paul Sweeney had notched a bucket with five seconds to play to force the extra session. Appleby paced the Condors with 8. Miller added 8, Morrison 7, LeBlanc 5 and Smith 3. Sweeney led the Orphans with 14. Johnson added 8, Stewart 4, Haley 2 and Bresnahan 2.
