In the quarterfinals, held in Fredericton, the 3rd-seeded Rothesay Regional Red Hawks edged the 6th-seeded Woodstock Thunder 53-49 as Brewster scored 20, Budreski 12, Patten 9, Wilson 7, Pitt 4 and Britten 2. Brian Boyd paced the Thunder with 18. Colin Craig added 12, Jim Durling 10, Ron Kearney 7 and Peter Crocco 2, while Jack young, Andy Ross, Mark Stewart and Jim Daye were scoreless.

       The 2nd-seeded Fredericton Black Kats whipped the 7th-seeded Campbellton Tigers 67-42 as Doran scored 18, Harten 11, Cassidy 8, Slipp 8, McGrattan 5, Gould 5, Arbeau 4, Somerville 4, Johnson 2 and Dave Beattie 2. Jack Targett led the Tigers with 9. Rawlie (Rollie?) Garrels added 5 and Bob Gallup 2, while 26 points were unallocated. The Tigers also included Ray Poley, John Hutchison, Robbie McLeod, Wayne Gilker, Terry Kelly and Kim Crawford.

       The 5th-seeded Moncton Purple Knights dispatched the 4th-seeded Saint John Greyhounds 49-46 as Thompson scored 13, Doucet 13, Lebans 10, Heffernan 8, McLaren 2, Burgess 2 and Arsenault 1. Wayne Cameron led the Greyhounds with 15. Jamie Oliver added 10, Don Scott 9, Don Price 7 and Bob Goss 5, while John Baird, Bob McConnell, Tom Crawford, Barry Vincent and Stuart Jameson were scoreless.

       In the last quarterfinal, the top-seeded St. Stephen Spartans torched the 8th-seeded Sunny Brook North & South Esk Cobras 85-30 as Mcleod scored 22, White 18, Buchanan 15, Horne 12, Davidson 5, Libby 4, MacIntee 4, Corby 2, Haley w and Ingram 1. Fraser Sherrard led the Cobras with 9. Ed Matthews added 8, Kevin Silliker 4, Laurie Nowlan 3, Frank Connors 1 and Eric Hamilton 1, while Bob McKibbon, Joel Dunnett, Gary Matchett and Guy McAllister were scoreless.

       In the semis, the top-seeded St. Stephen Sparts edged the 5th-seeded Moncton Purple Knights 55-52 as Macleod scored 26, White 9, Corby 6, Horne 6, Greenlaw 4 and Buchanan 4. Arsenault led the Purple Knights with 21. Lebans added 11, Cassidy 6, Thompson 5, McLaren 4, Doucet 3 and Heffernan 2.

       In the other semi, the 3rd-seeded Rothesay Regional Red Hawks defeated the 2nd-seeded Fredericton Black kats 55-47 as Patten scored 20, Wilson 14, Budreski 10, Britten 6 and Brewster 5. Slipp led the Black Kats with 14. Doran added 11, Harten 9, Cassidy 8, Gould 3 and McGrattan 2.

       In the bronze medal match, the 2nd-seeded Fredericton Black Kats clipped the 5th-seeded Moncton Purple Knights 59-47 as Harten scored 15, Cassidy 9, Goul 9, Slipp 8, Somerville 8, McGratten 7 and Arbeau 3. John Lebans led the Purple Knights with 19. Keith Thompson added 10, Earl Arsenault 8, Leslie McLaren 5, Dennis Cassidy 2, Jim Heffernan 2 and Brian Doucet 1, while Peter Burgess, Bob Cowan, Mike Cahill and Brian Bohan were scoreless.

In the final, the top-seeded St. Stephen Spartans finished off the boys/girls’ HS double by defeating the 3rd-seeded Rothesay Regional Red Hawks 43-34 as Jeff MacLeod scored 15, John Buchanan 12, White 10, Greenlaw 2, Horne 2 and Corby 2. Patten led the Red Hawks with 12. Wilson added 11, Budreski 3, Brewster 2, D Britten 2 and Pitt 2.
