In the quarterfinals, eight-seed Chatham St. Thomas Academy defeated the top-seeded Fredericton Black Kats 40-25 as Jardine scored 20, Foster 8, Young 4 and Thompson 4. MacDougall led the Black Kats with 9. Thorpe added 6, Sturgeon 3, McDade 3, Robinson 2 and Colpitts 2, while George, Dick Whalen, Kimball, McInnis and Smallwood were scoreless.

       The St. John Greyhounds clipped Sackville Mount Allison Academy 46-33 as Martin scored 20, Nolan 10, Stackhouse 5, Bailey 4, Damon 3, Wight 2 and Patterson 2. Havilland paced Mount Allison with 10. Gillies added 6, Abel 6, Phinney 5, Milner 4 and Mooers 2, while Barron and LeBoutiller were scoreless.

       The Saint John Vocational Vultures clubbed the Campbellton Tigers 41-10 as Melvin scored 14, Riley 5, McLenahan 4, Leggett 4, Kelly 4, Coles 3, LeBlanc 2, Ganong 2, Harrison 2 and Talbot 1. Cheeseman led the Tigers with 4. Buulmer added 2 and Flann 2, while two points were unallocated, and Andrew, Grewer, G Bulmer, Cooper, Diotte, Dobson and MacLaughlan were scoreless.

       In the last quarterfinal, the Rothesay Red Hawks spanked the Moncton Purple Knights 43-29 as Coster 18, Wilson 9, Noble 4, Schofield 4, Donald 4 and Smith 4. Roscoe Wilson scored 6 to paced the Purple Knights (coach Al Robertson). Bill Smith added 6, Norman Roy 6, B Clory 4 and Vic Bryant 2, while Jack Wolstenholme, Bill McDougall, Norm West, Don Goss and Dennis Hammond were scoreless.

       In the semis, the Saint John Greyhounds dispatched Chatham St. Thomas Academy 45-38 as Martin scored 18, Stackhouse 10, Myles 7, Damon 6, Bailey 6, Nolan 5 and Wight 3. Jardine led St. Thomas with 10. O’Brien added 9, Foster 6, Young 5, Thompson 4, Grant 2 and Cormier 2.

       In the other semi, the Saint John Vocational Vultures defeated the Rothesay Red Hawks 41-36 as Melvin scored 13, Harrison 9, McLenaghan 8, Riley 7, Leggett 2 and Ganong 2. Wilson led the Red Hawks with 17. Coster added 9, Noble 7 and Thoman 3.

       In the final, the Saint John Vocational Vultures captured its first title by defeating the St. John High Greyhounds 39-31. Ralph McLeneghan led Vocational, coached by American Joe Massey, with 13. Ganong added 8, Riley 6, Melvin 6, Leggett 4 and Harrison 2. Martin paced the Greyhounds with 15. Nolan added 5, Wight 5, Bailey 4 and Stackhouse 2.
